Abruzzo National Park (now including some districts also in Lazio and Molise) is famous in Italy, and also all around the world as a model for nature preservation.
The Park has been harmoniously developing for the last 20 years thanks to the territory zoning, that has allowed an integration between preservation and development and an agreement with the communes in the park, in order to solve town- planning matters.
Visits to the park are selected and controlled and many are the plans to keep improving the park and to make it more efficient.
